Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Yes. If you are experiencing financial hardship, you may qualify for a temporary reduced rate.

How long does each session take?

Most therapy sessions will be 50-60 minutes. An initial intake appointment may be scheduled for up to 90 minutes.

A coaching session is 45 minutes. Intake sessions may be up to 60 minutes.  

What specific therapy techniques do you use?

Our practice is based primarily in cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy. We also integrate aspects of dialectical-behavior therapy and motivation interviewing. 

At this time, we are not qualified or certified to offer services such as EMDR or TF-CBT. 

Are video services as effective as face-to-face?

Online therapy allows more people to access mental healthcare than ever before. Teletherapy offers the ability to connect with a therapist from the comfort of your own home. It is flexible enough to allow you to seek services when you are pressed for time, or perhaps if you can't find childcare or transportation. 

Multiple research studies have shown positive outcomes for people who utilize teletherapy, particularly for CBT methods. In many studies video-based therapy is just as effective as traditional face-to-face therapy.

We do require all clients to have access to reliable internet service, and be able to participate in sessions from a safe, secure, and private location.
